A Stunning HOTA Gold Coast Wedding with Sunset at The Spit


As a Gold Coast wedding photographer, I get to capture so many incredible love stories – and yesterday’s wedding of Melody and Ross at HOTA (Home of the Arts), Gold Coast was one I’ll never forget. With perfect weather, an incredible team of vendors, and the most breathtaking sunset at The Spit, it was truly a dream day.


A Love-Filled HOTA Gold Coast Wedding. Set against the vibrant backdrop of HOTA, Melody and Ross’s ceremony was heartfelt, joyful, and filled with so much love. Grace and her amazing team at the venue went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly, and it showed in every detail of the day.

The couple exchanged their vows in front of family and friends, with Lauren Maree Celebrant guiding them through a ceremony that was both warm and personal. Every moment was full of emotion – the kind of wedding that reminds you just how special true love really is.

Florals with Family Meaning – Created by the Bride’s Brother. One of the most touching details of this wedding was the flowers. The stunning arrangements were designed by Melody’s brother, Paul Morgan, a talented florist who lovingly brought them all the way down from Toowoomba.

Not only were the florals breathtaking, but they carried a beautiful personal meaning – a gift from brother to sister on one of the most important days of her life. It was such a heartfelt touch and one of those details that made the wedding truly unique.

Sunset Wedding Photography at The Spit, Gold Coast

After the ceremony and celebrations at HOTA, we made our way down to The Spit, Gold Coast – one of my favourite locations for wedding photography.

As if the day wasn’t already perfect, the sky put on a show of golden light that melted into pink and purple hues across the ocean. Sunset portraits at The Spit are always beautiful, but with Melody and Ross, the magic was on another level. Their love, paired with that breathtaking backdrop, made for unforgettable photographs.

A Day to Remember

Melody and Ross’s Gold Coast wedding was the perfect mix of elegance, family, and fun. From the personal touches like the brother-made florals to the joyful sunset moments at the beach, it was a true celebration of love.
